Long Distance Quilt Pattern

With design roots in vintage sashiko quilts made from indigo fabrics, the Long Distance Quilt takes a simple approach to improvisational patchwork. Three 20"-wide patchwork columns, comprised of easy-to-piece geometric shapes, make up the background of this 60" x 60" finished quilt, and make it easy to increase or decrease the quilt size, if needed. Bright patches, inspired by colors used in Courtney Cerruti's Long Distance collection, float over the background, and are hand stitched in place, leaving raw edges exposed for a beautiful human touch.
