Martha Jane Cannary, better known as Calamity Jane was born May 1, 1852 in Princeton, Missouri. This classic Churn Dash Block also originated during that time period and has gone by several different names through the years. The red and blue colorway of the Cadence collection make this quilt as American as apple pie. I’m sure Miss Jane would approve! Have fun making these big and bold classic blocks made of Half Square Triangles.
