Description

Dive into the timeless art of creating log cabin blocks. This class includes step-by-step instructions and techniques that will elevate your quilting skills. The piecing techniques we will explore are fussy cutting, improv piecing, chain piecing, traditional FPP, and freezer paper FPP. You will leave with log cabin blocks that finish at a variety of sizes and be able to put them together in a cohesive design. Supplies To Bring:

  • Gallon bag of 1 1⁄4” strips
  • Sandwich bag of strips in variety of widths
  • Ruby Star Society Ten Years of Magic panel (one panel is included with class fee, but you can choose other motifs that can be fussy cut into sizes: 11⁄2”, 21⁄2 “, and 41⁄2”)
  • Sewing machine if you prefer over using the studio's machines

Instruction Time: 4 hours with 0.5 hour break
