To and Fro is designed by Rashida Coleman-Hale for the Ruby Star Society. Rashida says this about her new collection: "When I started working on this collection, I didn’t really have a plan or direction from the start. The first print that I created was the ladies with their hair blowing in the breeze. As I was drawing I was thinking to myself, “look how cute their hair is flowing to and fro……..OMG that is SUCH a good collection name!!” The name made so many ideas materialize and my brain was literally overflowing with all of the different types of prints I could create with that theme. I gave myself this assignment to create a collection around this name and I can’t even tell you how much fun I had creating this collection. Things that go back and forth, left and right. I really loved the idea of people looking at each of the prints and the theme starting to truly make sense. That print with all the colorful lines are actually arrows! The women are busy going here and there! The O’s are leaning left and right! The pattern on the tweed print makes a zig zag! The print with the objects are all tiny things that go back and forth! I hope you love this collection as much as I loved creating it."
