Petunia fabric collection is designed by Kim Kight for the Ruby Star Society. Kim Kight was inspired by a trip to the International Folk Art museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The museum’s Alexander Girard wing houses the renowned designer’s vast collection of folk art from around the world, exhibited in a unique, lovingly chaotic, colorful explosion. She loved the texture and simplicity of the shapes so much, that a whole collection emerged. Petunia is very loosely inspired by Scandinavian and Eastern European folk motifs, and built around a turnip hero print! Kim chose fresh, bright, and energetic colors for the Petunia collection. There are 27 quilting cotton prints, and four new colors of Hole Punch Dot. There is also a geometric print that alternates between a stripe and a multicolor gingham, which can be cut up separately or left unfussy for a fun, scrappy look in your patchwork.
