Kaitlyn Howell began a love affair with quilting and fabric at a very young age. When she was 11 years old she received Pottery Barn Teen magazines in the mail. She would flip through their pages for hours, just dreaming of a bedroom where everything matched. She asked her mom one day if she’d help her make a quilt. Being a new quilter herself they set out on a journey together. Kaitlyn picked a pattern and drew out a picture of the churn dash design, She colored in all the squares and triangles, and took it to the fabric store. They showed the lady at the cutting counter and she said, “I have just the fabric for you.” She proceeded to pull out a stack of beautiful bright colors from under the counter. That is where it began. Kaitlyn i grateful that at a young age she was able to learn a skill that has carried her through all the ups and downs of life. A talent and hobby that brings so much JOY. Kaitlyn loves to create and design, and she has expanded her love of creating quilts to bags and clothing.
