Alex Roda

Álex Roda designed fabric for Cotton + Steel. Fascinated by forms, she has always looked closely at the world, and so after an early phase as a translator, she went back to school to study interior architecture and graphic and publication design. For years I have jumped between these fields, and surface pattern design is her latest stop on this long journey. She is inspired by the abstract forms of nature, bold and delicate —opposing facets which, when properly worked, are able to coexist harmoniously in a pattern.
